Ashea dungeons, You’ve heard of them surely but I, Scar aka Lucas want to go over how they work and why. Starting with the known part. These aren’t your traditional dungeon crawler, those are designed to have one goal in mind. Defeat monsters and get to the end. These however do NOT have an end to them. Ashea is an open world, restricting people in dungeons is fine, but not ideal. For me personally, sometimes it takes from the open world. It’s good to have but feels rough at times.

So how do our dungeons differ? 1 year ago Minecraft announced the trial chambers a unique take on overhauling Minecraft’s dungeon system but kept it unique. Making sure its spawners were still the objective. I took much inspiration from is in making a redesign of the trial chambers on 1.20. The dungeons you’ll see in Ashea you can randomly come across or travel to. Each spawner will have waves depending on the spawner, and will summon mobs. It won’t give any kind of reward until the waves are defeated. Once you defeat the waves it will give a dungeon key that can be used at a dungeon post in Lockwood. Give the key to the Dungeonieer and boom chicka boom. You’ve got a reward. Each dungeon can range from having 5 spawners to nearly 30 each. The keys also have a reroll meaning you have 3 tries to get a reward of your liking.

what can be found in these crates? Adamantine, and many other materials. Many of the community has wanted a better way to get adamantine. Luckily you’re in luck, cuz you ask you shall receive my friend. It can be used to craft the most powerful weapons and armors in the game. However you can’t just get other rewards, But also magic scrolls as well. Getting these are essential if you want to use magic. More on that later, but dungeons are nearly entering their first round of testing and we’re very excited to show you what we have in store! 12 confirmed dungeons are coming. Many of which you might even recognize, from the previous world. Ruins, and destroyed cities. Aresol, Orendel, and so many more are coming back for one last destiny of hell. Not only will you have to worry about the waves of mobs in the dungeons, but also rivaling factions of players. Keep in mind blocks can’t be broken in these either. Making it even more of a risk.

dungeons are basically a free roam, and a better take on Minecraft’s trial chambers. Keeping the world open while having its limits. Hopefully this will be fully out in October-November. Thank you for reading -Scar/Lucas.
